Kicking Off the New Football Season with the West Cabarrus Wolverines

As the fall season begins, there's nothing quite like the excitement in the air when football season kicks off. This year, the West Cabarrus Wolverines are starting strong with one win under their belt—a solid start to what promises to be an intense season. It's no small feat considering that our first two games have been against the number 1 and 2 teams in the 3A conference. The energy is electric, and the challenge ahead only fuels our determination.

For me, this season marks a return to the sidelines, capturing the grit, emotion, and triumphs of the Wolverines. It's been a while since I was in full football photography mode, and while the rhythm is coming back slowly, it's surely returning. There’s something special about freezing those fleeting moments of determination, teamwork, and victory that will be cherished by players and families for years to come.

Looking ahead, this season holds a different significance for me. With Brayden in his senior year, every game, every photo I take feels like it carries extra weight. This year will be a defining one—not just for the Wolverines, but for me as well. As I consider the future, I find myself reflecting on what comes after Brayden graduates. My hope is to continue capturing memories for future athletes and students, building on the relationships and experiences I've had with this incredible community.

There's also a part of me that's eager to explore new avenues within photography. Perhaps branching out into more portrait and senior sessions is on the horizon. I know these things take time, and I'm prepared to grow and evolve my craft as opportunities arise.

On a more personal note, the thought of retiring from the military is becoming more real with each passing season. It's a significant milestone that brings with it a mix of emotions and uncertainty. But as with everything else, time will tell, and I’m optimistic about what the future holds.

For now, my focus remains on capturing the spirit of this season, one frame at a time. Here's to another year with the Wolverines—a year that will no doubt be filled with unforgettable moments, both on and off the field. Let's make it one to remember!
